Margie Frails
Founder Margie Frails served in the United States Army and is a Desert Storm Veteran. She is a wife and a mother of one beautiful and extraordinary young lady. She has a deep love of motorcycle riding. She believes that a person is defined by their strength and integrity. She strongly believes in treating people the way that you want them to treat you. Respect is earned not taken. An open line of communication will help you reach a resolution every time, if you remember that it is ok to agree to disagree. Breathing life into Sigma Theta Alpha Military Sorority, Inc. means creating an organization where strong, Intelligent, independent, nurturing, discipline, diverse beautiful women can come to be a part of an organization that was founded for the purpose of serving our military and civilian communities.
Latisha Russaw
Founder Latisha Russaw is a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Desert Storm era. She is a loving wife and mother of four children, currently works as a Director of Constituent Services for the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services. Her passion has always been service; to serve her country and now veterans, military and their family members guiding them to access benefit entitlements. Ms. Russaw comes from a line of veterans with most of her siblings serving, living off of her fathers motto; “those who can will
serve.” Ms. Russaw has a strong belief in putting God first and everything else will fall in place.
Jennifer Shepard
Founder Shepard served in the United States Army as a part of the Signal Corps. She has always believed that integrity and good character should be at the core of a person as it is what enables a person to make a positive impact on others. She has always been passionate about helping others and an avid volunteer in any community she called home. Her vision in helping birth Sigma Theta Alpha is to build an organization of like-minded women that have had similar experiences and possess an earnest desire to continue to serve others by way of community service and presence.
